Waukesha, Wis.-based GE Healthcare will offer converged wireless network technology from MobileAccess Networks, Vienna, Va. The agreement is designed to enable health care organizations to use or add various GE Healthcare wireless technologies and services, including telemetry applications, without having to implement separate networks.
MobileAccess Networks' Universal Wireless Network enables access to wireless signals, including Wi-Fi, mobile phone, paging and BlackBerry, over a single, converged network. The technology is designed to strengthen these wireless signals for both voice and data applications, as well as enable I.T. executives to control signal distribution among departments or floors.
GE Healthcare will offer the technology as the GE Enterprise Access system. For more information, go to gehealthcare.com or mobileaccess.com.
