Akridge Selects MobileAccess to Enable Innovative Wireless Services in Multi-Tenant Facility

Washington, D.C.'s Homer Building's Use of MobileAccess' Universal Wireless Network to Set a New Technology Standard in the Comm

DALLAS (Realcomm Conference)--June 26, 2006-- MobileAccess Networks, an enterprise wireless innovator, today announced that its Universal Wireless Network technology has been selected by Akridge, a comprehensive real estate services company, to enable a broad range of wireless services within the Homer Building, a significant architectural landmark located in Washington, D.C.'s commercial center. With this installation, Akridge is setting a new technology standard for multi-tenant commercial office properties.

The MobileAccess Universal Wireless Network can simultaneously support virtually any combination of wireless services over a single, highly adaptable infrastructure. By installing this system in the Homer Building, Akridge is unlocking the potential of wireless communications throughout the nearly one half million square foot property, providing tenants reliable, uninterrupted coverage for all their wireless devices and applications including cell phones, pagers, PDAs, two-way radios, Wi-Fi, building automation systems, and emergency communications frequencies.

Beyond the convenience of continuous wireless connectivity throughout the Homer Building's 12 floors, the MobileAccess solution extends wireless coverage throughout the facility's underground parking garage, elevators and office suites. With its robust level of coverage, this in-building wireless system offers tremendous benefits to companies in the building-increased productivity, improved life safety features, and potential breaks in insurance premiums and taxes as agencies begin to understand the benefits of in-building wireless.

In addition to the tenants, the Universal Wireless Network benefits other constituents within the Homer Building. It significantly enhances life safety systems by providing dependable communications for emergency response teams. For Akridge property managers and engineers, the system enables them to use PDAs and Wi-Fi services to stay "connected" and deliver more efficient service to their clients. From an operational perspective, Akridge benefits from the cost efficiencies realized by deploying just one physical infrastructure to support a multitude of wireless services and the reduction of installation costs for new office set-ups or building system upgrades. Akridge and Homer Building owners, such as ING Clarion, expect to realize a return on their investment through client retention and lease renewals, increased customer service and client satisfaction, improved productivity and efficiency, and product differentiation.

"Whether it's retrofit or new construction, wireless is the latest 'must-have' amenity in the commercial real estate industry," said Matthew J. Klein, president of Akridge. "The MobileAccess Universal Wireless Network enables us to reduce operating expenses while providing cutting-edge amenities to our clients. Staying ahead of the curve where technology is concerned is important not only for our productivity, but also so that we can provide better service to our clients."

Throughout the Akridge portfolio, developers and property managers are exploring the implementation of in-building wireless technology in existing buildings and in development projects. Carroll Square, which is under construction in Washington, D.C., is likely to be the next building in the Akridge portfolio to receive this technology.

"Akridge recognizes that in multi-tenant commercial office properties, financial and operational benefits can be gained by taking a well-coordinated infrastructure approach toward the delivery of wireless services," said Cathy Zatloukal, president and CEO of MobileAccess Networks. "The Homer Building is a textbook example of this vision and we expect a large number of building owners and managers to follow Akridge's lead."
