MobileAccess Executive to Discuss Emerging Building Technologies at RealComm
COO Magnus Friberg to Explain the Benefits of a Universal Wireless Network
Vienna, Va.,––June 19, 2006––MobileAccess Networks, an enterprise wireless innovator, announced today that COO Magnus Friberg will participate in a panel discussion about emerging building technologies and their impact on property managers at next week’s Realcomm conference. Specifically, Mr. Friberg will speak about the financial and operational benefits of a universal wireless network. The panel will be held Monday, June 26 from 3:30-4:45 p.m. in Ballroom C3 of the Dallas Convention Center.
The role of today’s property manager has evolved over the last 10 years and because of technology is poised for more dramatic change. Operating a commercial project today requires a good understanding of a number of current, as well as emerging technologies. This session, moderated by Darlene Pope, manager of Realcomm’s Professional Development and Strategic Services, will provide an overview of the technologies which will have the greatest impacts on property management in the near future.
In addition to MobileAccess, the session will include representatives from Cisco Systems, Nexus Media, Panduit Corporation, PCCW Global, and TAC. The speakers will cover WIMAX, In-Building Wireless, VOIP, Building Automation and Digital Signage from the perspective of a property manager. They will also answer questions such as:
- What are the top three telecommunication issues impacting a property manager today?
- Should the relationship be between the property manager, the IT professional and/or the telecommunications specialist?
- With the advent of NextGen building technologies, what is the best way for a property manager to learn about and keep up with these new solutions?
“While in-building wireless has many benefits, including increasing client comfort and convenience and maximizing tenant experience, many building designers, developers and operators are taking a reactive approach, deploying multiple ad hoc systems that create significant financial and operational inefficiencies,” said Magnus Friberg, COO of MobileAccess Networks. “The optimal solution is a single, flexible infrastructure that supports an entire portfolio of wireless services and applications. A multi-use solution unlocks the promise of wireless by overcoming in-building coverage issues and ensuring reliable performance throughout a facility. Moreover, a properly implemented universal wireless network readily adapts to evolving requirements, enabling new wireless services and applications easily and cost-effectively without disrupting work spaces or existing services.”
