MobileAccess Networks To Present At Gartner Healthcare Summit
Executives to Discuss Hospital-Specific In-Building Wireless Networks and Deliver Clarian Health Partners Case Study
Vienna, VA - November 3, 2005 - MobileAccess Networks, a leading provider of in-building wireless network solutions, announced today it will deliver two presentations at the Gartner Healthcare Summit, November 13-16, 2005, in Orlando, Fla. The first session will highlight applications and benefits of hospital-specific in-building wireless networks. The second session will feature a customer case study.
Now in its 7th year, the Gartner Healthcare Summit brings together key players in the healthcare IT marketplace for a collaborative business, educational and networking experience. This year’s theme, “Agility: Unlocking the Potential of Collaborative Healthcare,” will center on the need for IT agility to execute information-rich, collaborative processes within and across the stakeholder boundaries of healthcare organizations. The Summit’s unique format builds partnerships between C-level business and IT executives and technology providers.
Cathy Zatloukal, president and CEO of MobileAccess, will present a primer on how hospitals are turning to in-building wireless network technology to help them quickly and cost-effectively deploy best-of-breed hospital-specific wireless services and applications. Specifically, she will discuss why most hospitals are not well suited for wireless voice and data services, what in-building wireless networks are, why they are needed and the limitations of traditional solutions, especially those that are designed for a single purpose. Ms. Zatloukal will also explain how MobileAccess enhances operational efficiency and quality of patient care by delivering seamless in-building connectivity and multi-service solutions that are future proof, scalable, adjustable, manageable, and cost-effective.
"As the market moves from wired to wireless communications, hospitals and health centers are leading the search for a single infrastructure to carry and manage a full array of services and applications," said Cathy Zatloukal. "Universal wireless networks open new channels of communication, instantly linking doctors, nurses, emergency personnel and patients to each other and vital information and equipment. A flexible, multi-service platform enables the reliable and critical phone and email communication, emergency radio and two-way paging support, and even advanced patient monitoring and equipment inventory and tracking that saves time, money and lives."
In the second session, Bill Cune, vice president of Healthcare for MobileAccess, and Ed Roze, senior manager of Enterprise Architecture for Clarian Health Partners, will discuss why Clarian Health Partners selected the MobileAccess Universal Wireless Network to extend wireless service coverage to Clarian North Medical Center in Indianapolis. They will also explain how the MobileAccess solution enables Clarian to support a diverse array of wireless communication services and medical applications that enable Clarian’s medical teams to deliver superior patient care. Finally, they will address Clarian’s future plans and lessons learned.
