Peppermill Hotel Casino Deploys MobileAccess Universal Wireless Network

Vienna, Va.––December 4, 2006––MobileAccess Networks, an enterprise wireless innovator, announced today that Peppermill Casinos, Inc. deployed the MobileAccess Universal Wireless Network at the Peppermill Hotel Casino in Reno, Nevada. The MobileAccess solution enhances wireless communication and collaboration throughout the facility’s three main buildings, providing guests and staff reliable, uninterrupted coverage for SpectraLink wireless telephony, public WLAN, and cellular phone services from Cingular, Sprint and Verizon Wireless.

The MobileAccess solution is currently deployed throughout the Peppermill Hotel Casino complex, encompassing over 860,000 square feet.  This award-winning property features more than 1,100 guest rooms and luxury suites, two sprawling levels of world-class gaming options, eight restaurants, 14 themed bars and lounges, and live entertainment in the Casino Cabaret and spas.  In the next phase of the project, Peppermill will extend the MobileAccess solution into its new $300 million hotel scheduled to open in mid-2007.  This 560,000 square foot high rise will feature 600 suites on 17 floors.

The MobileAccess Universal Wireless Network enables Peppermill to deliver all of its wireless services and applications over a single, highly flexible wireless infrastructure.  This integrated approach is much more cost-effective than deploying multiple parallel systems for each individual wireless service.  As important, with the modular packaging of the MobileAccess solution, Peppermill can easily and cost-effectively expand coverage areas and add new wireless services without disrupting public spaces or existing services.  The MobileAccess solution locates all managed equipment, including Cisco WLAN Access Points (APs), in secure telecommunications closets, which not only makes the system easier to manage, but also preserves the aesthetics of the Hotel Casino.
