Super Bowl Attendees Score Reliable Wireless Access with MobileAccess

MobileAccess’ Universal Wireless Network supports multiple wireless services,
devices and applications  used by fans, media, staff and first

responders at the University of Phoenix Stadium

What: More than 73,000 fans and 3,000 working media attending Super Bowl XLII will have reliable wireless access and Wi-Fi service throughout the 1.7 million square foot state-of-the-art University of Phoenix Stadium. Fans can call friends and family to share their experience from the sidelines, journalists can upload photographs and use laptops in locker rooms and first responders can act fast. The wireless services and applications are supported by MobileAccess’ Universal Wireless Network.

Who: The MobileAccess network overcomes the service challenges associated with heavy construction materials that can impede the flow of radio frequency (RF) signals and degrade the wireless voice and data services. Dead zones are eliminated and weak signals are strengthened to ensure reliable communications. MobileAccess’ modular Wire-it-Once™ architecture securely houses access points in the stadium’s existing wiring closets, delivering wireless voice, data and Wi-Fi services to discrete antennas throughout the stadium over a single fiber/coax cabled infrastructure.

When:  Super Bowl Sunday, February 3, 2008

MobileAccess was previously deployed at three other Super Bowl stadiums: Reliant Park in Houston, Texas; ALLTEL Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida; and Ford Field. To learn more about what it takes to support and prepare world class facilities for world renowned events, please contact:
